TRUFFLE IS A FAVORITE OF GOURMETS
There are a lot of truffle
connoisseurs all over the world. Unsurprisingly, this flavor has been on trend
for over three years now, and its popularity continues to grow. Truffle is
added to olive oil, sauces, pastes, chips and even ice cream.
There are more than 160 types of
truffles in the world. Truffles come in white, black and red. Real truffles
belong to the genus Tuber.
There are also false or fake
truffles — these belong to the genus Choiromyces, Elaphomyces and Terfezi. The
black truffles from Périgord in France and the white truffles from Umbria and
Piedmont in Italy are the most appreciated by gourmets all over the world. They
are considered the most delicious, fragrant and expensive.
All truffles grow underground at a depth of 10-30 cm from the surface, so dogs and pigs help to find them due to their well-developed sense of smell. They literally find it by the smell! Truffles like to grow in the roots of trees. Like many fungi, they often form a symbiosis with the root system of trees, mainly deciduous species: oaks, beeches, hornbeams, birches, and hazel trees.
ALLWIN's collection also includes truffle products. We presented one of them in the original dish MEAT WHIPS at the AGROPRODMASH-2024 exhibition.
